If you have questions about your child’s learning, attention, or social-emotional behavior,
and what you can do to ensure they are maximizing their potential…
I am here to help make sense of what you see.
This is an information web site for Mary Gwaltney, Ph.D., California Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #2540) serving the Greater Sacramento area, and Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC#18894) serving Colorado families via telehealth.
I provide comprehensive psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental assessment, individual counseling, parent education/ training, and consultations to families of children and adolescents aged 3 to 24. My services are focused on helping families and schools better understand a child’s strengths and needs, have compassion for why they do what they do, to identify the types of support are needed to maximize their personal, academic, and social effectiveness, and to provide direct counseling support to particular clients.
If you read more about me and my services on this site, you will see that I tend to take a comprehensive ecological approach to working with a student. My role is to ensure that my clients fully understand the implications of the brain-behavior relationships at hand, and to have a clear plan to address any needs that are identified.
