consultationinstructionalaids350x230 When a student has an instructional assistant either assigned to them through the IEP, or assigned to his or her room in order to provide additional support, they are often the primary “teacher” for that student. Sometimes IA’s want more information on how to manage school behaviors, how to support social growth, and how to adapt materials to their needs and instructional level.  If this is not available to the extent needed within the district, I offer short-term consultation to our very important IA’s.

Instructional Assistants are occasionally welcome to attend social groups with their students in order to understand what they are learning and to extend this into the school setting.  Phone or email contact is also available for consultation.
